Weblogs in Higher Education: Teachers hindering progress and learning?

Weblogs in Higher Education, Tuesday May 31, 2005

teachers, as a class of experts, may be a substantial threat to Web 2.0
,
even if we are all the while hoping to extend it. Teachers need,
instead, to pass these tools over to students and to members of our
community, to stop speaking only to other teachers, to stop behaving as
an expert class, and to find a way to have a stake in the interests and
knowledge of the community.

A fascinating entry on some reading that the poster is currently doing, and commentary on the  teacher's relation to new Read/Write web tools - and how they might be hindering their effective use and implementation.
